I am learning to cook. And my teacher, the one and only, MUF
He is so good at it, that it amazes. I mean Allah ne kia zaiqa dya he bahu ke haath men. Errr…….., MUF ke haath men
Although my lessons are quite basic as of now, but MUF says, slow and steady wins the race, so … be patient.
So far I have learned how to cut onions, yeah. And how to cut green chilli. How to make half fried egg without breaking its zardi. And I can make a paratha
, yup dont be impressed, here you get it from the market in a frozen state, put it in frying pan, do some stuff, and there you go. Paratha is ready.
Ohh yes, I also learned how to brown the onions before making curry. Infact onions in this part of the world are a bit hard, and take time to get brown, so you have to be patient and cautious that they get brown evenly and don’t get burnt (I mean jalen bi na, I dont know if I am using the right word here :$)
My next lesson would be to prepare the curry on my own.
My teacher hopes that one day I would be a better cook than him
although keeping his, and my, skills in mind, I seriously doubt his hopes.
Thank you MUF for the lessons
and the patience.

Yeah. This is my new home nowadays. I am not sure for how long am I going to stay here.
Ohh, did I tell you, I have moved to the UK. This moveover happened over the last weekend. And I am staying with Umar. Apart from us two, there are two more residents at 29.
Salah, a graduate with a degree in Wireless Networks staying on IGS. Salah is waiting for his HSMP approval for 6 months now, and there has been no response as yet. And Furqan, who did his BS from Pakistan and now is looking to take admission in some MS program here. He likes being called as buddy. And few people who cannot say buddy, quite conviniently call him bhatti, which he never minds. And right now, while I am writing this, I am enjoying tea made by buddy the great, or bhatti for that matter
Thank you Furqan for such a nice cup of tea.
Furqan hailing from Karachi, and Salah from Lahore.
I plan to write on my experience of moving to UK, from day 1 to the day I arrived here, but lets see if I get time.
Currently applying for jobs, and receiving half a dozen calls everyday. One lady said she has an interview scheduled for me next week, lets see how it comes and goes
Wishing me Good Luck …
See ya !!!
